This stunning clock is a showcase for the Black Forest owl. The timepiece’s front is etched with an intricate crosshatched design that surrounds the dial and the cuckoo door. From above and along the sides, detailed carvings of leaves seem to sprout along the meticulous border that envelope the frame and crown. Two owls perched on opposite ends of the clockface stand proudly and stare ahead. Below them, directly underneath the clock’s dial, baby owls huddle together in a miniature nest perched at the base of the clock. Topping off the splendid piece, a carving of a pair of owls roost at the pinnacle of the crown, with the continuing pattern of leaves behind them.
